Three more major companies are being referred to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner over their use of facial recognition technology in stores. Australia’s leading consumer advocacy group has raised serious concerns about major retailers using facial recognition technology to record customer faceprints. This is the latest revelation for the industry.
