Over the past dozen years ‘The Conscience of Fukushima’ retired Japanese diplomat Mitsuhei Murata, “Murata-san” to his admirers, has shared a number of messages regarding the Fukushima disaster and nuclear safety issues in general. His latest message includes a heart-felt plea from recently deceased, renowned singer Ryuuichi Sakamoto.
Mr. Ryuuichi Sakamoto, world-famous musician, sent me the message attached below last June.
The musician was a constant supporter of my anti-nuclear activities.
The timing of his message allows us to regard it as his testament, for he courageously revealed the identity of the nuclear village.

Dear Mr. Murata,
Strange lack of the sense of crisis as regards nuclear reactors, this is largely due to the Mass Media cadre that have received money for tens of years from electric companies. It is not only money. In each broadcasting company, you will notice< advisors recruited from electric and nuclear related companies.
You cannot but conclude that the media are after all the publicity organ of the “nuclear village”. This structure of profiteering is gigantesque.
Before the War, one could make a direct appeal to His Majesty the Emperor, as did Mr. Shozo Tanaka.
To whom could I make such an appeal nowadays?
We are facing the biggest momentum for departing from nuclear reactors in the last 60 years. We can not let it disappear.
The nuclear accident has already much damaged Fukushima and many children. Opportunities were
abundant to prevent it from taking place. We adults are responsible for it.
We should stop nuclear accidents from taking place at all costs. Otherwise, is it not a shame to live on?

各放送局の顧問などを見る と、軒並み電力・原子力関係が入っていて、メディアも結局「
原子力村」の宣伝機関 だと思わざるをえません。
この利権構造は巨大ですねえ。
戦前なら田中正造のように天皇陛下に直訴するところですが、
今は誰に直訴すればい いのやら、、。^^;
しかし、この60年の中で最大の脱原発のモメンタムです。
消えさせるわけにはいきま せん。
既に福島や多くの子供たちに被害を与えてしまった原発事故。
止める契機はたくさん あったのに、止められなかったのは私たち大人の責任です。
何が何でも止めなければ生きているのが恥ずかしいですね。
